The Knikerboker Schegge Pendant Lamp

The Knikerboker Schegge collection is the result of a true creative explosion, reproducing sharp aluminium fragments designed for high ceilings and large spaces. Inside, they are equipped with a 25-watt LED strip, and there is also a double-beam version in the suspended version.

In addition, a wall version is available and the entire collection has completely new finishes such as brick colour and coffee colour.

The Italian manufacturer Knikerboker stands for craftsmanship and high-quality materials that make each lamp unique. Schegge is deliberately made of aluminium, very flat and equipped with delicate steel cables. These four cables enable a suspension that makes the LED pendant lamp appear exciting and individual. Thus, it can be realised to mount Schegge with inclination or simply horizontally and balanced. In combination with others, exciting light pictures and true works of art are created. Whether above the dining room table at home in a modern style of furnishing or in the reception area of a hotel – Schegge is equally well suited for both areas.

we re-examined the design of the classic floor lamp croma

Taking its name from the Italian word for a ‘quaver’ or ‘eighth’, Croma, design by Luca Nichetto, is Lodes’ first floor lamp.

Together with Luca Nichetto, we re-examined the design of the classic floor lamp, which typically opens out at the top rather than the base. By literally turning the frame on its head, we created a product that embodies our ethos – considered design with powerful and personalised lighting that prioritises the end user.

The Croma Lamp is available in four unique finishes. Green and Bronze which, featuring a metallic ombré effects, fade from green to black and from bronze to nickel. The two matte shades, in solid white and black, have a texturised finish that would be well suited to a commercial setting.

Previously known as Studio Italia Design, Lodes completed a rebrand process in June 2020 — on the occasion of its 70th anniversary — which culminated with the unveiling of the new logo and brand identity. Since then, as part of a strategic vision led by General Manager Massimiliano Tosetto, Lodes has been heralding a new era of contemporary design celebrating the company’s manufacturing know-how and high-quality Made in Italy essence.

New Lighting Collections by Luceplan

A lighting collection by Luceplan

Discover the new decorative lighting collections by Luceplan for interiors, the result of partnerships with design studios and firms including Archirivolto Design, Mandalaki Studio, Meneghello Paolelli Associati, Marco Spatti and Studio Shulab.

Doi has been created as a suspension lamp system. The typology calls for one or more parts to be suspended from the ceiling by means of a cable, free to move and float in space, until their weight achieves stability to determine their position. The lamp appears to be stable, but is always in a state of tension.

Elegance and purity of style characterise this set of suspension lamps named Koinè – both in reference to the Mandalaki design studio (Greek word meaning “clothespin”) and for its meaning of “shared language”, referring to its shape which offers such extreme versatility.

A chandelier of great emotional impact, based on the creative intuition of the designer, together with the research on materials, technology and design conducted by di Luceplan. A new protagonist for living areas in the home, but also for contract applications.

The range of Malamata lights (named to recall the designer’s Israeli roots, drawing on the Hebrew meaning of ‘up and down’) is characterised by the possibility of a variety of diffuser positions. The light can be used in different positions thanks to a counterweight in the form of a sphere with a button that enables adjustment.

The Zile light range, named for its diffuser shape which resembles a Tibetan bell, features a minimalist design. The range comprises floor lamps, table lamps and pendant lights. The special feature of this project lies in its close attention to sustainability: the lampshade is made of a long-lasting bioplastic (PLA).

Innovative LED technology and a unique retro flair

With its retro flair, Nostalgia elegantly tells of ancient glass blowing practices in three sinuous forms that can be combined at will. The perfection of the glass, the innovative LED technology and six elegant finishes make Nostalgia an extremely contemporary and versatile lamp that lends itself to the creation of captivating atmospheres, whether on or off. Elegant and delicate, Nostalgia is a suspension lamp with a distinctly retro style that interprets the concept of versatility from an entirely contemporary perspective. Thanks to the special workmanship of the blown glass, its discrete forms assume soft curves, made even more appealing by the different finishes, in a dialogue of fluid and vibrant reflections. With the three lamps in different shapes, small, medium and large with diameters 12.5, 20 and 28 cm, available in six finishes, Nostalgia allows the creation of a myriad of lighting solutions. Singularly to light up a table or offer a touch of sophistication and relaxation to the bedroom, in linear groups on a bench or peninsula, or composed in clusters to accentuate large living spaces with sophisticated scenic effects, Lodes Nostalgia allows one to play and furnish. Suspended from a power cord, Nostalgia diffuses a warm and soft light emitted by a 9W LED source. The colour rendering index (CRI) of 92 retains the true colour of objects. Nostalgia is a decorative element and high-performing set that seduces with the elegance of glass, conquers with the harmony of its proportions, and furnishes with personality and style.

Nautilus, a family of wall and ceiling lamps by Lodes

Strong design and leading-edge technology come together in Nautilus, a family of wall and ceiling lamps. The lamp is characterised by a convex lens that projects the LED light wherever its needed or most preferred, for a truly efficient and personalised result. With Nautilus we explore relations – the bond between our products and users and the interaction between lamps and the environments they decorate with light. Nautilus can be used as a single element to project direct light symmetrically in opposing directions. Alternatively, the mobility of the diffusers, which can be separated with an opening of up to 90° and rotated by 320°, allows the two light beams to be managed individually at will. Versatile and dynamic, either on the wall, ceiling or suspended in a variety of versions and finishes, Nautilus lamps satisfy a full range of lighting needs, whether functional or purely decorative, in both residential and professional contexts. The Brokis Muffins Candleholder is part of the timeless family of Muffins lights, which have become an iconic symbol of the BROKIS brand. The collection of candleholders lets you choose from three types of wood that match the various colours of glass perfectly.

The Czech premium lighting brand Brokis stands for the synthesis of exquisite design, superior quality, and the remarkable craftsmanship of Bohemian glass artisans. Conceived by renowned Czech and foreign designers, the original BROKIS lighting collections have steadily earned international acclaim and recognition. The company combines handblown glass with other refined materials, such as wood and manually pressed metal, in bold lighting compositions that push the boundaries of contemporary design. The Brokis portfolio features modern functional lighting fixtures, decorative objects, and unique lighting solutions for architects and interior designers. With its own high-capacity production facilities rooted in more than two hundred years of history, Brokis is free to experiment and develop innovative materials, techniques, and technologies as well as offer bespoke lighting solutions.

Brokis is the brainchild of successful Czech entrepreneur and engineer Jan Rabell. In 2006, he founded the brand Brokis as a platform to enliven and elevate Bohemian glassmaking to new heights and preserve generations of knowledge and craftsmanship. Nearly ten years prior, in 1997, he acquired the ailing Janštejn Glassworks, founded at the start of the 19th century approximately 140 kilometres southeast of Prague. Demand for traditional products had declined significantly, many of the glassmakers were growing old and leaving, and time-honoured technologies and techniques were at risk of being lost. Mr. Rabell’s vision was to restore the factory to its former prestige and ensure that the ages-old Bohemian glassmaking tradition endured into the 21st century.

With Brokis, Mr. Rabell created a lighting brand offering entirely different products than those previously produced at Janštejn Glassworks. Several new Italian-style furnaces were built, and production techniques were refined. Some, such as grinding and glass painting, were discontinued, and others were revived, e.g., glassblowing, optic moulding, and traditional hotshop techniques. Original and nearly forgotten formulas for manufacturing coloured glass were reinstated and are now characteristic of the Brokis brand.

Brokis has firmly established itself as a leading innovator in glass lighting. For example, the complex technology applied in production of the Night Birds collection, which consists of imposing yet elegant curved glass silhouettes of birds in various phases of flight, required two years of experimentation to perfect. Today, Brokis and Janštejn Glassworks employ a total of 100 people and enjoy a unique symbiosis that has allowed Brokis to launch sales operations in 70 countries and showcase its renowned lighting collections at the world’s top design exhibitions.

Steng lamps exclusively manufactured in Germany

The enthusiasm for technical systems, the fascination with the “medium of electricity”, the constant examination of the possibilities of this technology and the resulting realisation of the perspectives of this technology were the reason for Carl Steng to found a company for light and electrical engineering in Stuttgart-Bad Cannstatt in 1911. This was at a time when gas lamps were still common in most households. After the complete destruction of the Second World War and the death of his father, his son Hans led the company through the difficult phase of reconstruction until 1973. In 1973, Peter Steng, the grandson of the company founder, took over the management in the third generation. In the best tradition of “Swabian tinkerers”, he became a protagonist of the then novel low-voltage technology. Over the years, the development of new systems and a penchant for sophisticated design led to a respectable collection of lamps that were honoured with national and international awards. With the entry of Andreas Steng into the management in 1997 and his participation in the company in 2004, the fourth generation is now actively integrated in the company. Following the retirement of Peter Steng in 2014 and the participation of Torsten Alberts in 2017, Andreas Steng as Managing Director and Torsten Alberts as Authorised Signatory are now jointly at the helm of the company. The STENG company represents more than 100 years of tradition on the one hand, and a diverse, innovative and modern product range on the other. The large number of national and international design awards as well as the cooperation with renowned designers and architects reflect the innovative strength and flexibility of the company to adapt to new technologies and market requirements. We offer the right solution for every requirement and situation, whether for high-quality, private furnishing needs or for professional applications in the contract sector. The fact that tradition and progress are not mutually exclusive is part of the self-image of today’s STENG LICHT GmbH – not least due to the fact that STENG lamps are almost exclusively manufactured in Germany. With the high demand for best quality and craftsmanship.
