Bover Siam breaths a certain oriental air derived from the inverted shade and offers a soft cascading light. These luminaires can be grouped in varying compositions, superposing shades partially one over the other, and creating a perfect mural for any space.

Bover Tria is a wall light designed as a modular system made with led plates, which makes it easy to build up light clusters connected to each other by an inside structure.

Despite the continued growth of the Bover brand, Joana Bover has remained true to her original vision. She believes in timeless design, in a commercial line that knows how to maintain the balance between quality and shape, resulting in a timeless style capable of adapting to the future without fanfare. For Joana, BOVER is the result of the professionalism and the concerns of a team of people who live and feel the cultural world surrounding them, of a team of respected designers advocating the creation of new lighting experiences for the whole world.

Bover is produced entirely in Barcelona, exercising full control over its production chain and as a result is able to ensure excellent quality and appropriate delivery terms to meet market needs. Create lighting solutions in your own living space

The table is the place where we come together and share and for that we need some lighting solutions. It provides an architecture in the room that brings us together, serving us both for daily meetings and for celebrations. In table lighting, the creation of an atmosphere and the materials of the table and chairs have equal importance. Whether in intimate or social gatherings, business meetings or romantic encounters, the light creates experiences, light is life. The empty space above the table requires lighting. If this light comes from a lamp that blends naturally into the surroundings, it has two functions at once: First, it envelops the gathering at the table, and second, it illuminates it. The lamp Kontur by Sebastian Herkner consists of two elements, the distinctive material frame and the opal glass diffuser, which emits a magical, suggestive light that flows through the space, symbolizing what is and what is possible. If the table is to be the setting for unforgettable experiences, then special lighting is required. Lighting that attracts attention and excites upon closer observation. Lighting that integrates easily into the space. Halo Jewel by Vibia casts light on tables where special moments are shared. With its angled design, universal geometry and metal frames, it makes time at the table worthwhile. Food is a universal language and at the dining table it can be showcased and enjoyed to the fullest. However, finding the balance between illuminating but not oversaturating light at the table is a delicate balancing act. Flat by Ichiro Iwasaki reflects light down onto the dining table from flat metal discs that appear to float horizontally. During the day, the table has many functions. It can be a workplace, dining table, kitchen top or simply a place for a coffee break. This characteristic is emphasized even more by a lamp like Flamingo. It is at the same time chameleon-like, adaptable and versatile. Antoni Arola has added to his design a counterweight that allows the user to intuitively adapt the ambience to the table, whatever its use. The table is a place for gathering and conversation. As we sit with our backs straight, crossing our legs under the table, our gazes are directed towards each other. Musa by Note Design Studio casts a soft and indirect light that creates intimacy and shines with its round shapes. Like the art of conversation, Musa describes a light that is authentic but never too direct, discreetly illuminating our conversations.

LZF Candelabro is the centrepiece of Gran Costa Adeje Hotel lobby

The LZF Candelabro pendant lamp hangs in the lobby of the five-star GF Gran Costa Adeje Hotel on the Canary Island of Tenerife. The hotel was designed by the architect and interior designer Mayte Calzadilla (of Grupo Fedola) and Kaudex, a furniture manufacturer specialising in hotels. The Candelabro’s presence in the hotel lobby is impressive—it is very much the centrepiece of this large, contemporary space. The Candelabro is a showpiece for LZF’s work with natural wood veneer. A commanding display of creativity, craftsmanship, and technical competence, this truly brilliant composition was imagined by LZF co-founder Mariví Calvo, a celebrated design virtuoso.

The Candelabro is a majestic creation, one that embodies LZF’s love for avant-garde concepts and playful forms. Its design is traditionally made up of six different LZF lamps: Agatha, Minimikado, Pod, Poppy, Raindrop, and Totem. This version of the Candelabro for the GF Gran Costa Adeje Hotel is especially striking, with the inclusion of the Link pendant in its make-up.

The Candelabro is arranged in a manner that cleverly highlights each individual element and presents a striking formation when viewed as a whole. There is a sense of theatre with this special lamp, something that Mariví Calvo further embellishes with the addition of several charming ceramic birds, each one finished in a gold glaze. These birds hover with poise among the Candelabro’s various lighting components, in a scene that is alive and captivating.

The Archiproducts Design Awards 2021 for lighting

We’ve got some great news! For the third time in a row, we’ve won the Archiproducts Design Awards 2021 for lighting. The 2021 winner is the new Dome Nomad collection by Chiaramonte Marin, who accepted the award in person yesterday. We congratulate all of the winners and are very pleased to be in such outstanding company. The Italian design duo Chiaramonte Marin has created a new outdoor collection for Brokis called Dome Nomad, which takes inspiration from the domes of Venice. The Brokis Dome Nomad is an outdoor lamp whose dome shape represents eternity and the vastness of the celestial vault. The dome shape of the handblown glass section comes in one of two variants: smooth clear glass or wavy clear glass. Dome Nomad is a new portable rechargeable outdoor lamp, the lines of which are a nod towards Italian architecture.

Brokis Dome Nomad

The gentle light passes through an opal diffusor and the namesake glass shade. The Brokis Dome Nomad collection complies with the IP44 safety and technological standards for outdoor lighting. The simple design features refined stainless steel finished in an environmentally friendly powder coating for outstanding resistance to the elements. The LED source can withstand freezing temperatures. Multiple layers of molten glass are used to make the glass shade, and each one is subjected to the utmost scrutiny by the master glassmakers before being blown into the mould. Dome Nomad is a new portable lamp that is easily picked up by a metal ring attached to the top of the glass dome, with one hand beneath the base, which houses the electronics and a magnetic charging connector. The Dome Nomad by Brokis can be placed on a table or floor. It is a design experience that adds a special charm both to gardens and terraces as well as to interior spaces.

The Prandina Sino collection: the lightness of light

The Prandina Sino Lamp is a story made of light volumes and precious materials. This lamp collection is characterized by a blown glass diffuser that holds an LED light source, set in the center of the tubular line that draws its pure and harmonious structure. The blown glass diffuser, handcrafted according to the ancient technique of mouth blowing, has been designed to accentuate the visual lightness of the entire project and to emphasize the diffusion of the light which is spread in a calm and uniform way throughout the environment. The metal structure of the Prandina Sino is available in three finishes: matt white, for a minimalist result; black chrome and 24 carat gold, for a refined allure, obtained through precious galvanic immersions. Both the table and the wall versions have been developed to tell unique lightingstories in different furnishing contexts, ranging from the contract filed, to the residential, enhancing every space with their elegant presence. The Prandina Sino is a Swiss design, signed by Filippo Mambretti. Prandina is an Italian Lighting Design Brand, who’s main aim is to follow a very simple creative philosophy: the one of simplicity and formal austerity, functionality and long-lasting quality. Prandina wants to reflect these strong values by transmitting a defined identity, one that you can immediately reckon, which goes beyond fashion, trends of the moment and stylistics conventions. During its 30 years of activity Prandina has constantly explored mouth-blown glass potentialities and possibilities, always looking for new shapes’ ideas to give a contemporary taste to a material that is traditionally considered as the most eligible one to transmit light at its best. Thanks to this constant mediation between innovation and tradition, today Prandina’ collection interprets perfectly residential and contract solutions with its catalogue and custom-made production.

Modern lighting in an old office

Modern Lighting in companies must be functional: Besides perfect illumination, energy consumption, CO2 balance and costs play an important role. Consequently, visual criteria are not always the focus when selecting lamps for office and industrial buildings. Especially since design-oriented LED lamps are usually more expensive to purchase. Alternative financing models are interesting in this context. Vimcar GmbH opted for a Light as a Service solution for its new headquarters in Berlin. Only LED lamps from the renowned manufacturers Zumtobel and Regent are used – without the company having to make an investment as part of the Deutsche Lichtmiete rental concept.

In the offices of Vimcar GmbH in Berlin, old and new enter into a symbiosis. The company for digital fleet management had to give up its old premises because the number of employees had grown steadily in recent years. The company found a suitable new property in Berlin-Friedrichshain. The core-renovated old building complex offered sufficient freedom for the design according to the company’s own ideas.

Lighting as an integral part of the modern office landscape
The space planning and furnishing were carried out under the auspices of forwaerds strategy consulting GmbH, which specialises in holistic project management in the corporate real estate sector. In addition to the office workplaces for more than 200 employees, workshop and meeting rooms, a spacious community area is at the heart of Vimcar’s new location.

When choosing the lamps, an appealing design had high priority – a stylistic sin in the modern office environment was to be avoided as a matter of urgency: “Our focus was not exclusively on data- and guideline-based lighting design. The look of the lamps had to do justice to the modern open space concept of the offices,” describes Octavian Lebert, Managing Director of forwaerds strategy consulting GmbH, who at the same time had to keep an eye on the overall budget for refurbishment and furnishing. “Core refurbishments in this form are cost and planning-intensive. Relying on rented LED lamps proved to be a great advantage in this context and significantly reduced construction costs,” says Lebert. Tailor-made full service also minimises the personnel effort required for lighting planning, installation and maintenance.

Premium lamps at an affordable rental price
With the representative and at the same time functional LED lamps by Zumtobel and Regent, the decision was made in favour of two award-winning manufacturers from the premium segment. Lighting concepts tailored to architecture and work culture are the focus here. Project responsibility, including lighting design and installation, was in the hands of Deutsche Lichtmiete, which is primarily regarded as a specialist for Light as a Service in the industrial sector. Through cooperations with renowned luminaire manufacturers, however, the company acts as a full-range supplier that can cover all areas of requirements and applications.

New portable outdoor lamps from the German manufacturer IP44.de

The outdoor lamps expert IP44.de is expanding its portfolio with a family of flexibly usable portable lamps. With the newly developed product series, light is created wherever you happen to be. Thanks to the variety of designs, the products can be used as free-standing luminaires or as table luminaires, which can be equipped with wall brackets or suspension units, for almost any outdoor activity. The different luminaire bodies of the qu, lix, fil and aqu models form a broad aesthetic spectrum with a variety of lighting effects. As a result, they create the perfect lighting outdoors, when reading, working or socialising, and also cut a fine figure indoors. Modern LED technology and efficient rechargeable batteries ensure powerful performance with warm white light in 2700 K. Two models, aqu and fil, are equipped with solar panels and use the collected sunlight for lighting in the evening.

Today, facades, outdoor areas and gardens are considered an integral part of good architecture. High-quality equipped outdoor kitchens, spacious terraces and lounge areas extend the living space outside the house. “Our centre of life is increasingly shifting outside,” emphasises Bernd Schmalhorst, founder and CEO of IP44.de. “Portable lamps are the answer to our mobile world today. Why should we do without the right lighting outdoors?” The basic conviction that every place should be equipped with the best light became the brand philosophy “Every space deserves great light” for Schmalhorst. The claim to design aesthetic lamps to the highest technical standards for outdoor use has been pursued by IP44.de since the company was founded.

“From the point of view of IP44.de’s development department, the requirements for the right lamp have grown noticeably in the outdoor area. Today, customers prefer durable products that combine high-quality materials, efficient technology and appealing design,” Schmalhorst adds. IP44.de relies on imperishable materials, efficient in-house-developed LED technology and manufacturing partners who put it all together according to the highest quality standards. “From the very beginning, we have gone beyond all standards to design lamps that are exclusively robust and weather-resistant,” says Bernd Schmalhorst, describing his entrepreneurial vision.

qu – Flexible lampion

IP44.de reinterprets the classic lampion: the portable lamp qu is inspired by the traditional paper lantern and presents itself with a slender amber-coloured glass body. Thanks to the fold-out handle, it can be mounted on the wall or hung in trees, under veranda or balcony ceilings with a rubber cord. Equipped with luminous LEDs in the head part, qu emits atmospheric, warm white light in 2700 K, which can be regulated by a 3-step touch dimmer. As a mobile downlight, it illuminates the standing area. qu is available in jet black, bright bronze.

lix – radiance at the touch of a finger

Inspired by nature, the shape of lix is reminiscent of a mushroom and provides warm white, glare-free light at 2700 K. The portable table luminaire can be dimmed with a touch dimmer. The portable table lamp can be switched on at the touch of a finger. The other four brightness levels can also be selected using the 4-step touch dimmer. Depending on the light level, the powerful rechargeable battery guarantees an operating time of up to 45 hours. lix is available in seven colours.

fil – fabric for dreamlike light

Covered with a weather- and UV-resistant outdoor fabric, fil spreads a pleasantly warm light in 2700 K. The 3-stage touch dimmer allows you to select the desired light level. Thanks to the 3-step dimmer, the brightness can be varied. The Bauhaus-inspired lamp not only provides light, it also lives from it: the solar panel on the top stores the sunlight and returns it in the evening to create a pleasant atmosphere. This makes fil self-sufficient from the mains, and the lamp can also be charged via a USB-C cable. fil is available in two sizes, either 48 or 70 cm high. The small version also decorates side tables, while the large model illuminates its surroundings as a solitaire.

aqu – intelligent solar light

aqu uses the solar energy it captures during the day with its solar panel to produce brilliant light at 2700 K. Three brightness levels are available. Three brightness levels are available. If the power of the sun is not enough, the crystal glass luminaire can also be charged via a USB port on the side.

aqu is available in two sizes, a round version with a height of 23 cm and an elongated version with a height of 35 cm. This makes it versatile and, thanks to its homely design, it also fits into your own four walls. With its gently curved handle, aqu can be carried wherever a real bright spot is needed.
