Mawa manufactures individual lamps made in Germany

For over 40 years, mawa has been working with architects and designers to realise the most sophisticated illumination and lighting solutions for historical monuments, art exhibitions and unique architectural pieces. mawa develops, designs, produces and assembles in its own DEKRA-certified production facility near Potsdam. Would you like to have a one-of-a-kind lighting solution made in a historical monument or have your own lighting collection developed for a high-rise building? Please contact us.

Mawa Lamps can do any colour – all RAL colours are available upon request, as well as high-gloss surfaces in chrome, brass, burnished brass or copper. Anodised surfaces are imitated with our special “mawa Eloxal” powder coating. This is not only more homogeneous, but also 100% repeatable in colour and appearance.

Mawa Lamps from Germany

Measurements are carried out at mawa according to recognised standards and specific quality criteria in our own lighting laboratory. Following the manufacture and assembly of our products, DEKRA-certified testing and recording is carried out to ensure that hardware and software function safely. Every lamp from mawa is an original, produced at our own site in Neuseddin. By “production” we mean the entire development process, which can take up to several years for large lamp series.

If mawa considers the entire product life of a lamp, then it also includes the ecological perspective. For us, this is about more than just maintaining high product standards, but also about creating real jobs during the manufacturing process. In this way we contribute to the social system, strengthen cultural identity and social cohesion. This is what mawa means by “Made in Germany”.

Since 1977, Mawa Design has stood for high quality lighting solutions with a special focus on the use of selected materials and high quality workmanship. The company was founded by Martin Wallroth. In Langerwisch near Potsdam, MAWA operates a unique combination of design studio and manufacturing facility in the renovated and listed Palmhof. Planning, development and production of Mawa lighting go hand in hand here. The young team at Mawa Design loves to work with unusual shapes and materials. In addition to individual luminaires for private and business premises, the Brandenburg-based think tank also develops professional spotlights and lighting systems. Mawa inspires with clear and pleasantly timeless lights for indoors and outdoors.
